Rooted in Rural Heritage. Launching the Next Generation Forward.

Empowering youth ages 10–24 in the ERTH Corridor to lead, grow, and thrive in their own community.

Rural Launch Foundation & Juku (RLFJ) is a nonprofit serving youth in Lake County, California. Through our Built Different curriculum, hands-on mentorship, and community-rooted programs, we equip young people with the skills, identity, and vision to build futures right here at home.

The Juku

uku is our educational philosophy — where learning is hands-on, culturally rooted, and mentorship-driven. At RLFJ, every lesson is designed to meet young people where they are and build them toward where they're going.

Foundations of Literacy

Who says reading and writing have to be boring? We build literacy skills through stories, conversations, and creative experiences that actually connect to young people's lives — because when learning feels real, it sticks.

Math That Makes Sense

We move beyond memorization to help students understand the why behind every equation. When math makes sense, confidence follows.

Discovery Science

Curiosity is the best teacher. Through observation, exploration, and real-world experiments, young scientists discover how the world works — and how they can shape it.

Civic Roots

Young people who understand their community can change it. We explore history, citizenship, and civic responsibility — helping students see themselves as active builders of a better Lake County.

Money Wise

Money doesn't have to be a mystery. We teach practical budgeting, saving, entrepreneurship, and financial planning — giving young people the tools to build financial freedom on their own terms.

The Rise and Build Academy

Built Different

A 5-module identity-first curriculum designed to help young people discover who they are, build confidence, and develop the leadership skills to thrive in their community.

The Castle Framework

A life-skills program built around the metaphor of designing and building your own castle. Young people explore identity, character, boundaries, leadership, and community through the rooms of their castle — discovering that they are both the Architect and the Master Builder of their own future.

Groundbreakers → Ambassadors → Vanguards

Our three-tier youth progression pathway. Young people move from community builders to civic ambassadors to next-generation leaders — earning recognition and responsibility at every stage.
